Meet Dr. Raimondo

A Passion for Caring for My Patients

I am always focused on doing the right thing for my patients. I offer them the dental care I know will serve their needs over the long term. It’s always been my philosophy, since I started practicing in 1972, to do the least amount of dentistry possible while ensuring my patients keep their teeth and enjoy great oral health. I believe in meeting each person’s specific dental needs in ways that work for him or her.

It’s a joy to be part of a profession with the primary goal of improving people’s quality of life. When someone has a healthy mouth and smile, their body is healthier, they’re happier, and they smile and laugh more often. I help make that happen. After more than 45 years in dentistry, I’m still excited to go to work in the morning. Each day is new and filled with great people.

I love interacting with my patients. Some are happy. Some are sad. Some are pleasant. Some are grouchy. All of them are important to me, and it’s my job to make a better day for each one of them, whether through dental treatment, a sympathetic ear, or a pat on the back.

Education and Continuing Education

  • Douglas MacArthur High School, San Antonio
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston; graduated in top 10% of the class
  • Rotating dental internship (now called a general practice residency) – Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, U.S. Army Dental Corps

For more than 25 years, I was a part-time, assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Working with students who asked thoughtful questions kept my mind engaged and had me delving into research about new technologies, treatments, and materials.

Continuing education is essential for all dentists, to ensure we’re able to deliver the highest level of care to our patients. Throughout the year I participate in online courses and classroom studies, and meet with the Central San Antonio Dental Study Club, in order to remain current.

Personal Life

I have lived in San Antonio my whole life, except for two of my years spent in the Army. My wife Jennifer and I were married in 1971. We have two adult sons, who are both medical doctors, and four grandchildren, who are the smartest grandchildren in the world. The only child we have left at home is our cat, Sadie. When I’m not at the office, you can usually find me working in the yard or fixing something in the garage.
